Hazard: An incorrect part allows more fuel to pass to the range’s oven than can be burned efficiently, causing incomplete combustion and the release of carbon monoxide. This poses a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Electrolux has received four reports of incidents involving carbon monoxide being released from the recalled gas range. No injuries have been reported.
Description: The following Electrolux ICON and Kenmore PRO 30” free-standing gas range model and serial numbers are included in this recall. For Electrolux ICON, the model and serial numbers are located on the back of the range. For the Kenmore PRO, the model and serial numbers are located near the base of the range just below the bottom right portion of the oven door and also on the back of the range. Not all serial numbers within these ranges are included in the recall.

Roasting a turkey requires an appliance – your oven, a BBQ, an electric roaster, or if you’re looking for a riskier approach, a deep fryer. If you are going the traditional route, with an oven roasted bird, we’ve got some tips for you.
* Set your oven temperature no lower than 325 °F.
* Place your turkey or turkey breast on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
* For optimum safety, stuffing a turkey is not recommended. For more even cooking, it is recommended you cook your stuffing outside the bird in a casserole. Use a food thermometer to check the internal temperature of the stuffing. The stuffing must reach a safe minimum internal temperature of 165 °F.
* If you choose to stuff your turkey, the ingredients can be prepared ahead of time; however, keep wet and dry ingredients separate. Chill all of the wet ingredients (butter/margarine, cooked celery and onions, broth, etc.). Mix wet and dry ingredients just before filling the turkey cavities. Fill the cavities loosely. The kitchen table. There is a certain kind of magic that happens around a table. The table becomes a catalyst, a force, that, surrounded by people with positive thoughts and love in their hearts, makes them ever more connected as the words fly about, laughter erupts, a meal ebbs and flows.
As I design my kitchens, I visualize this “future magic” at work and think in terms of ambiance and comfort. Second to the function of the kitchen? Never.
Beyond the Thanksgiving meal “event,” as a host or a visiting guest these next days, don’t miss the magic that is happening at the kitchen table. It appears at breakfast, while sharing a late night snack, or for all other reasons one gathers ’round the table.
This type of magic is real. I was fortunate to experience it last evening with loved ones crowded around the kitchen table. I hope you do too, and if you are so inclined, please share your thoughts with me.

This new water heater from Gorenje Tiki is actually a heat pump which saves money and contributes to a cleaner environment. Mounted on the water storage tank, the heat pump represents the most energy efficient and cost effective way of water heating, drawing the heat from the ambient air and using extra energy source to heat the water up to 55°C. The Gorenje pump is equipped with a system for thermal disinfection in order to prevent bacterial growth, by extra heating the system in even intervals up to 65°C. At the same time, the pump can be used for cooling smaller rooms. Compared to oil heating or gas heating, the investment in heat pump pays off in few short years.
The upright floor water heat pump comes in 200, 300, 400 and 500 liter sizes. Gorenje Tiki also makes a compact version with heat pump and water tank built in one unit. Additional one or two tubular heat exchangers are available for combination with other energy sources, like central heating system, solar energy, etc.

Hazard: The burners can deteriorate causing irregular flames and the lids of some models can catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards to the consumer.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received about 40 reports of fires from the burners deteriorating and about 23 reports of the lids catching fire. The firm is aware of one report of an eye injury requiring surgery and 21 incidents of minor burns to the hands, arms or face.
Description: The recalled grills are SLG series “Perfect Flame” brand outdoor propane or natural gas grills. The grills are stainless steel and painted black or gray metal. The model numbers affected by this recall are listed below. The model number can be found in the compartment under the cooking chamber. No other Perfect Flame model numbers are included in this recall.
