Capital Cooking is debuting its new dual fuel range cookers at the 2012 KBIS which runs from April 24 to April 26. The new dual fuel Connoisseurian Series incorporates the best technology from company electric ovens and gas ranges, offering both open and sealed burner versions – all self clean in 30″, 36″, 48″ and 60″ configurations. As dual fuel range is getting more popular, Capital Cooking Connoisseurian Series is offering the best attributes of its built-in electric wall ovens and gas cooktops.

Capital engineers incorporated a two-speed cooling fan system in the oven of these dual fuel range cookers. The high, noisier speed is only triggered when the oven is at extreme high temperatures over a long period of time, such as operating the self cleaning mode. Under the normal cooking conditions with temperatures under 400°F for under 2 hours, only the low speed cooling fan that is very quiet and not noticeable in a busy kitchen environment is working.

In addition, Connoisseurian ranges feature the larger ovens, ranking them amongst the top usable capacity of all dual fuel ranges on the market. All primary ovens have Capital exclusive MoistRoast cooking [...]
(click here to continue reading ››)

Sporting traditional Aga looks with boiling and simmering plates, and roasting, baking and simmering ovens, the new Aga Total Control range fully resembles a typical cast iron, heat storage range cooker that made the company famous. The main difference, however, is innovative control center, hidden behind the top left door. It can be accessed directly or via a remote handset, allowing you a total control over the hot plates and ovens. You can heat only one hotplate or both, heat only the roasting oven, the baking oven or the simmering oven, or all three.

The Aga Total Control cooker works in manual or automatic mode. In manual mode, an oven or a hotplate can be operated independently, staying on until you switch it off. With remote handset, you can program the cast-iron ovens to come on automatically for one or two cooking cycles per day, 7 days a week. The constant ambient warmth for which the AGA is renowned, can also be programmed.

Each oven has its own heat source, ensuring consistent temperatures. The range also gets ready in minutes, literally – instead of taking 6 hours [...]
(click here to continue reading ››)

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) urges consumers to check their grills and “fire it up safely” to prevent fires and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Before lighting the grill, do a safety check.
Has your grill been recalled? Check SaferProducts.gov. If the grill has been recalled, contact the manufacturer and stop using it until you get a repair or replacement.

Visually inspect the hoses on a gas grill for cracking, brittleness, holes and leaks. Make sure there are no sharp bends in the hose or tubing and that all connections are secure. Replace if necessary.

Check for propane gas leaks. Open the gas supply valve fully and apply a soapy solution with a brush at the connection point. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Try tightening the tank connection. If that does not stop the leak, close the gas valve and have the grill repaired by a qualified professional.

Is the grill clean? Regularly cleaning the grill, as described in the owner’s manual, and also cleaning the grease trap, will reduce the risk of flare-ups and grease fires.

Once the safety check is complete, make sure to operate the grill as safely as possible.
Use grills [...]
(click here to continue reading ››)
