We simply love a good free-standing kitchen piece, and this cabinet with double bowl sink from Ikea is also easy to place and move. It features adjustable legsm stands steady on uneven surfaces, and the sink comes in stainless steel. We don’t even have a kitchen lighting category after 7 years here at Kitchen Contraptions, yet lighting in our kitchen has been a constant thing on our minds. We recently replaced our flood lights with LEDs so we have been now looking to get those same lower watt savings in our under cabinet lights.

The CounterMax MX-LD Collection led discs mount easily under any cabinet and can link up to 30 discs without additional hardware using MXInterLink2. The LED disc uses only 1.7 watts (our flood lights use 10.5 watts versus our the older 65 watt per), and each kit includes three light down lighting pucks.

We’re going to see if these fit the bill, and also look out for other under cabinet solutions. What’s interesting is you could get 10 of these kits and string them together making a pretty good run at one side of our kitchen and the other using about 10 kits.
