The “Gogol Mogol”—named after a Russian egg dish is a self-cooking individual egg carton made from recycled paperboard. The egg-cooking chemical reaction begins when the exterior tag is pulled on like a grenade. This removes the membrane and commences a chemical reaction between the catalyst and the “smart material.” After a few minutes you pop open the container and have a perfectly cooked egg.

Gogol Mogol was the winner of a design contest held in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the EPDA (European Packaging Design Association).

Via Gizmodo

The new dual fuel Connoisseurian Series incorporates the best technology from company electric ovens and gas ranges, offering both open and sealed burner versions – all self clean in 30″, 36″, 48″ and 60″ configurations. As dual fuel range is getting more popular, Capital Cooking Connoisseurian Series is offering the best attributes of its built-in electric wall ovens and gas cooktops.

Capital engineers incorporated a two-speed cooling fan system in the oven of these dual fuel range cookers. The high, noisier speed is only triggered when the oven is at extreme high temperatures over a long period of time, such as operating the self cleaning mode. Under the normal cooking conditions with temperatures under 400°F for under 2 hours, only the low speed cooling fan that is very quiet and not noticeable in a busy kitchen environment is working.

In addition, Connoisseurian ranges feature the larger ovens, ranking them amongst the top usable capacity of all dual fuel ranges on the market. All primary ovens have Capital exclusive MoistRoast cooking [...]
(click here to continue reading ››)

Picking the best toaster or toaster oven can be and is a very personal thing, and for us here at Kitchen Contraptions highly based on what you want to toast and cook. If you really just want toast – then a pop-up toaster may work for you, but if you want to use the toaster for an oven as well – then using a toaster oven combo will be a great bet. We also recognize that using a toaster to simply make breakfast sandwiches with eggs in them is also very desirable for those on the go.

We’ve compiled a list of best toasters and toaster ovens we think will meet these toasting needs and others.

Cuisinart TOB-40 Custom Classic Toaster Oven Broiler

With 1800 Watts of power to toast, bagel, bake and broil, the full size interior holds 11 inch pizza and 6 slices of toast. The even shade control monitors the temperature and adjusts timing to consistently toast, and the toaster oven includes: baking pan/drip pan, [...]
(click here to continue reading ››)
